This traditional string instrument called Sasando, origin from Rote island (East Nusa Nusa Tenggara -eastern part of Indonesia). This instrument played with fingers like you played a guitar. It has been used since 7th century. The bigger version of Sasando is displayed in El Tari Airport - Kupang,capital province of East Nusa Tenggara, as an icon of this area.See a picture below.
