City Daily Photo Theme: Doorway

This door is typical door of Rumah Joglo (Javanese traditional house). Made from old teakwood. Rumah Joglo originally from Central Java. Since  Jakartan love to decorate their house with some traditional touch, now  the door made in knock-down type and sold separatedly. You may order and put it in your door. I saw this door is sold in Craft and Art exhibition.

Beside cat and dog, rabbit are sold in every pet  shop in Jakarta. They quite popular too. I love rabbit but never had a change to have them as a pet since I already have dogs. I don't think my dogs will go along with this tender critter.

Bridge on Progress

A crossing bridge near my office is being remodel. It took quite a time before we can use it. In a mean time, we use a temporary one   which is very narrow and not convenience.  See those  two construction workers? I really admire them who not afraid of height at all.

Live on Bus

Pengamen can loosely translate  as street performance is quite common in Jakarta. Actually pengamen  ask for a tip by singing in streets or in public transportation. I bet every Jakartan who using  public transportation really familiar with this a kind of live entartainment. They come and go pretty quick. As one performance ended, another will jump to the bus  at once and start singing or mostly just mumbling under frequency  only heard by non human. But this couple of  pengamen performed so good and I didn't  mind  give a  little contribution.
